  1. Harmonizes the exterior and interior
    • Used to treat alternating chills and fever accompanied by a bitter taste in the mouth, flank pain 腰腹痛, irritability 易怒, vomiting, and a stifling sensation in the chest associated with the ShaoYang stage disease
  2. Soothes the liver Qi
    • Used to treat distention and fullness in the chest and abdomen, dizziness, vertigo眩晕, chest and flank pain, emotional instability, a stifling sensation in the chest, abdominal bloating, nausea恶心, and indigestion, or menstrual irregularities with constrained liver qi and dis harmonies between liver and the spleen
  3. Raises the Yang
    • Used to treat gastroptosis胃瘫, hemorrhoids痔疮, anal or uterine prolapse子宫脱垂, and diarrhea due to spleen qi not holding the organ in place.
